高中英語倍數(shù)表達詳解

　　1. 倍數(shù)+as+形容詞或副詞的原級+as+其它。

　　這種結(jié)構(gòu)又常演變成下列兩類：

　�、俦稊�(shù)+as+many+可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)+as;

　　②倍數(shù)+as+much+不可數(shù)名詞+as。如：

　　There are seven times as many people as I expected.

　　是我預(yù)料的人數(shù)的七倍。

　　There is five times as much coffee in this glass as in that one.

　　這個杯子里的咖啡是那個杯子里的五倍。

　　2. 倍數(shù)+形容詞（或副詞）的比較級+ than+其它。如：

　　The hall is five times bigger than our classroom.

　　這個大廳的面積比我們教師大五倍。

　　3. 計量名詞+of+名詞+be+倍數(shù)+that+of+其它。如：

　　The size of the newly broadened square is four times that of the previous one.

　　新擴建的廣場為以前的四倍大。

　　4. 倍數(shù)+what從句。如：

　　The production is now three times what it was ten years ago.

　　現(xiàn)在的產(chǎn)量是十年前的三倍。

　　5. 倍數(shù)+more+名詞+than+其它。如：

　　There are nine times more books in his bag than in yours.

　　他書包里的書比你書包里的書多九倍。

　　6. 其它表達。如：

　　She's twice/double my age.

　　她的年齡是我的兩倍。

　　The average income of the staff has been increased by 50 percent compared with last year.

　　與去年相比，該單位職工的收入已增加了50%。

　　He runs faster than me by three times.

　　他跑得比我快三倍。

　　【考查方向】

　　1）倍數(shù)在句中的位置一般放在第一個as前面或比較級前面或名詞前面。

　　2）用times表示倍數(shù)時，一般只限于表示包括基數(shù)在內(nèi)的三倍或三倍以上的數(shù)。表示兩倍可以用twice或double,一倍用once.

　�。ㄒ唬┖�倍數(shù)的比較句型

　　1. 倍數(shù)+as+形容詞原級+as…。如：

　　This bridge is three times as long as that one.

　　His room is twice as big as mine;in other words,mine is only half as big as his.

　　【特別提醒】

　　“as…as”中間加入名詞的句式：

　　●倍數(shù)+as+形容詞+a/an+可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)+as…

　　●倍數(shù)+as+形容詞+可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)/不可數(shù)名詞+as…。如：

　　Last year my brother twice as big a new house as mine.

　　He has collected more than three times as many stamps as I (have).

　　I spent twice as much time on my studies as you did.

　　【難點點撥】

　　該結(jié)構(gòu)的省略：通常省略形容詞后面的名詞及比較的部分。如：

　　I have to transfer(轉(zhuǎn)乘）buses so I spend twice as much (money as others)for the bus every day.

　　2. 倍數(shù)+形容詞比較級+than…。如：

　　This street is four times shorter than that one.

　　Fear of danger is ten thousand times more terrifying than danger itself.

　　【特別提醒】

　　倍數(shù)+形容詞比較級+名詞+than…。如：

　　He earns five times more money now than he did ten years ago.

　　There are three times more books in our library than in yours.

　　3. 另外，請注意下面兩種說法：

　　(1) 倍數(shù)+what從句。如：

　　The length of the road is four times what it was three years ago.

　　(2) 倍數(shù)+that of+被比較對象。如：

　　Airmail charges almost twice or three times that of a normal mail.

　　（二）其它句式

　　1. "比較級+and+比較級"表示"越來越…"。如：

　　Things are getting better and better every day.

　　Our country is becoming more and more beautiful.

　　2. "the+比較級…，the+比較級…"表示“越…，就越…”。如：

　　The more you have, the more you want.

　　The more a man knows, the less he knows he knows.

　　【知識擴展】

　　在形容詞比較級前可以加a little, a bit, a lot, no, any, much, far, even,still等副詞組表示程度的加深。如：

　　The result is much better than we expected.

　　Actually, health is far more important than wealth.
