當(dāng)孩子真不容易

　　Hi! I'm Peter. I'm in the second grade. I have one thing to say: IT'S NOT EASY BEING A KID! Being a kid might look like fun, but sometimes it's not.

　　嗨！我是彼得。我上小學(xué)二年級(jí)。我有一件事情說(shuō)：當(dāng)個(gè)小孩子真不容易！作為一個(gè)小孩子看上去很好玩，但有時(shí)候并不如此。

　　Yesterday, I was playing outside with my friend. I was having a really good time.

　　昨天，我和我的朋友在外面玩，我們玩得很開(kāi)心。

　　Then suddenly, my mother said, "Peter, it's time to come inside now. It's getting dark." When you're an adult, no one can tell you what to do or when to do it.

　　突然，媽媽說(shuō)：“彼得，現(xiàn)在該到屋里來(lái)了，天黑了。”當(dāng)你是個(gè)成人了，就不會(huì)有人吩咐你做什么，什么時(shí)間去做。

　　When you're a kid, you have to get up early in the morning and go to school. At school, you have to study math, English, science, and history.

　　當(dāng)你是個(gè)小孩子的時(shí)候，你必須每天早起去上學(xué)。在學(xué)校，你必須要學(xué)習(xí)數(shù)學(xué)，英語(yǔ)，自然科學(xué)和歷史。

　　After school, you have to do your homework. When you're an adult, you do not have to go to school and you never have homework.

　　放學(xué)后，你還要做家庭作業(yè)。當(dāng)你是個(gè)成人了，你就不需要上學(xué)也不需要做家庭作業(yè)了。

　　When you're a kid, there are many things you can't watch. Last Saturday, there was a scary movie on TV. It looked really exciting.

　　當(dāng)你是個(gè)小孩子的時(shí)候，有很多東西你是不能看的。上個(gè)周六，電視上演了一部恐怖電影，很有趣。

　　But my father would not let me watch. He said, "You're too young for this movie, Peter." When you're an adult, you can watch anything you want.

　　但是爸爸不讓我看。他說(shuō)：“你太小不適合看這個(gè)電影，彼得。”

　　When you're a kid, the older kids sometimes pick on you. When I was walking home from school on Monday, Tom and Steve bothered me.

　　當(dāng)你是個(gè)小孩子的時(shí)候，大孩子有時(shí)候會(huì)找你麻煩。周一放學(xué)回家的路上，湯姆和史蒂夫會(huì)找我麻煩。

　　Steve took my schoolbag and put it in a tree. It made me very mad. When you're an adult, no one can pick on you.

　　史蒂夫搶了我的書(shū)包放到樹(shù)上。這真讓我氣憤。當(dāng)你成為一個(gè)大人了，就不會(huì)有人找你麻煩了。

　　When you're a kid, you cannot go anywhere by yourself. Last Friday, I wanted to buy a birthday gift for my friend John. But I had to wait for my mom to return home.

　　當(dāng)你是個(gè)小孩子的時(shí)候，你不能單獨(dú)到任何地方。上周五，我想去給好朋友約翰買(mǎi)份生日禮物。但是我還要等媽媽回家了陪我一起去。

　　When I want to go somewhere, I have to ride my bike or ask my mom for a ride. When you're an adult, you can drive a car wherever you want.

　　如果我想去某個(gè)地方，我要騎我的自行車(chē)的話還要問(wèn)問(wèn)媽媽是否允許。當(dāng)你成人了，你就可以開(kāi)車(chē)到你想去的任何地方。

　　When you're a kid, you have to go to bed early. On school nights, my mom makes me go to bed at 9:00.

　　當(dāng)你是個(gè)小孩子的時(shí)候，晚上你必須早點(diǎn)睡覺(jué)。只要上學(xué)的晚上，媽媽都會(huì)讓我晚上9：00之前上床睡覺(jué)。

　　But I do have a mom and dad who love me, which is really great. So I guess I like being a kid, even though IT'S NOT EASY BEING A KID!

　　但是，我確實(shí)有一個(gè)愛(ài)我的媽媽和愛(ài)我的爸爸，這樣很好��！我感覺(jué)自己依然是個(gè)小孩子，雖然當(dāng)個(gè)小孩子并不容易！
